These elegant, decrative planters are made of the finest 'galestro' clay, considered to be the finest terracotta clay, resulting in a planter that is very hardwearing and frost resistant. 

Terracotta pots made from Galestro clay are distinct by their soft pinky–red colour and slight grainy texture, thanks to the clay’s makeup of limestone marls and flaky clays which contain a high iron oxide and calcium salt content.

Terracotta's porous nature allows for air and water to move through the walls, preventing soil disease and root rot.

That are also great for colder climates.  The walls of the pots draw the water out of the soil to help the soil dry quicker.

These pots are hand crafted in terracotta before being fired in high-powered gas kilns.

The exceptionally high temperatures they are exposed to achieves both consistent colouration and outstanding durability.
