Description

Instant Hedge Common Laurel (Prunus lau. Rotundifolia) in Hedge Bag

Instant hedging with Common Laurel (Prunus lau. Rotundifolia), also know as Cherry Laurel. It is an evergreen plant with large, leathery, shining green leaves making it ideal for instant natural privacy screening. It will provide effective sound proofing as well as an efficient pollution barrier thanks to its ability to trap particulate matter for better air quality.

This plant will grow vigorously and if left unpruned it will grow quite wide and can reach around 5 metres in height. As a hedge it can be comfortably kept at between 150cm and 200cm in height.

While Common Laurel (Prunus lau. Rotundifolia) instant hedging can be kept closely trimmed it is better if left as a slightly more natural hedge with a less formal shape.  However, if they become too large they are able to be cut back hard and with feeding and extra water for a few months after the pruning they will regenerate to form a great hedge again.

They flower on the previous years growth so if they are being pruned frequently they will probably not produce their lovely white candle flowers which are then followed black berries.
