We were honoured to have been approached by Anna Guest from Edinburgh who masterminded the creation of a ‘World Gardens’ theme to be landscaped throughout the wonderful grounds of her Edinburgh House situated near the famous Royal Botanical Gardens.
The client initially approached us for Olive trees. Once she had spoken to Peter at length, she realised that we could help her with the planting throughout the ‘World Garden’ themes. We not only supplied the dominant plants for the Hardy Tropical and Mediterranean themes, but went on to provide planting layouts and plants for areas such as Ornamental grasslands through to New Zealand tree fern zones in the woodland through to the Oriental Garden themes.
The garden had been awarded the BALI National Landscape Award for Private Gardens over £100,000. A tremendous achievement. It then went on to be announced as the overall winner of all the gardens at the BALI Awards. We were privileged to work with the inspirational Anna Guest and enhance the wonderful landscape with her and our planting ideas. The following year we were invited back to create a Moroccan border and provided both the plants and the layout design to further enhance the garden themes. With Anna Guest at the helm the gardens will continue going from strength to strength.
